What Is Science Like At Tamaki College

Our second period was Science. We each took turns at looking down a microscope to try and find three things in 3 different sets of microscopes. In one set of 3 microscopes, there was Paramesicum. Which is a single-celled freshwater animal which had a characteristic slipper-like shape and is covered with cilia. In another set of 3 microscopes we had human cells and in the other 3 set was onion(plant). We also learnt that not everything that looks or smells like water, can be water. It could be a chemical or something poisenious.

He also mixed a chemical and a powder and lit it with a match and it was on fire but the fire wasn't a fire colour. It was greenish as you can see in the picture above.

Leave me some comments about this for next time we come to Tamaki College for the day!

Maths Think Board Term One Week 3

We are using a Think board to help us think about maths problems in a different way. I found the 10 similar questions the most challenging because I never knew that there were more than 5 division facts that equal 5. Visit my blog next week to see how I solve the next Think board.
